Pianist and composer; an alumni of Moscow Tchaikovsky
Conservatory (piano class of prof. Andrey Shibko,
composition class of prof. Vladimir Tarnopolski,
harpsichord class of prof. Tatiana Zenaïshvili),
he currently pursues his Master's degree at Hochschule für
Musik und Darstellende Kunst (contemporary piano music, prof.
Nicolas Hodges). Soloist of KYMATIC
contemporary music ensemble (piano, keyboards,
harpsichord). He has participated in piano master courses
of Alexei Lubimov (Perm, Russia, 2017), Giovanni
Valentini (Pesaro, Italy, 2018), Peter Donohoe
(Mariestad, Sweden, 2018), Nicholas Hodges (Graz,
Austria, 2019), Maria Grazia Bellocchio (Milan,
2021), play&direct academy with Lars Vogt
and Mark Stringer (Paris, 2021); composition master
courses of Leif Segerstam (Moscow, 2013), Vyacheslav
Artyomov (Moscow, 2016). As a composer he is
currently working (since 2012) on a grand meta-cycle on
each letter of pan-slavic alphabet. Until 2013, Mikhaïl
was running a music netlabel called «Koivu» (link),
on which he had released a vast array of contemporary
european underground music, including three albums of his
own improv project «ShchRTTTShch».
Since Mikhaïl has moved to Germany in September 2019, the
ensemble has been performing with other pianists, namely Vladimir
Ivanov-Rakievsky and Maria
Sadurdinova.
